Customization has long been a hallmark of VocalBooth. We joke, that when presented with a new customization request, we say "no problem" and then rush around making sure we have the capability to fulfill that request. Many of our now standard options emanated from suggestions from our customers. The craziest development was our VO1 booth. At a trade show, we had created a simple acoustic foam display with two tall boards connected together to form a V with a top piece with an integrated light. Attendees kept asking what the price was for our display! What started out as two boards stapled together has turned into one of our most popular products.

Why Multiple Folding Shelves Improve Your Studio Workflow
Our folding shelf also was born from a customer's request. The folding part was actually from our end as shipping and assembly are always in the mix when considering new designs. Obviously, a folding shelf will pack more efficiently in a crate. The secondary unintentional benefit is that the folding shelf gave the customer the option to fold it down if more space was needed for a certain project.
Then, our customers imagined more for us by asking if more than one shelf would be possible. And of course, we said "no problem" but this time we were pretty confident this was achievable. We are now happy to locate one or more shelves at your requested height and location. We suggest taking a tape measure and plotting out the locations of where you want your equipment to go.
Best Practices for Gear Placement Inside a VocalBooth
As an aside, when performing our pre-sales consulting we always suggest locating heat generating equipment outside of the VocalBooth. Also, more equipment outside means more room inside. A popular setup is having the computer or laptop outside of the booth and a flat screen monitor wall-mounted inside. An HDMI cable is run from computer to monitor and a cordless keyboard and mouse/ trackpad are operated inside the VocalBooth. Most computers now allow a secondary HDMI cable which allows a total of three DAW operating locations in your studio. One, at the location of the computer. Second, inside of the VocalBooth and a third in another VocalBooth or another part of your studio.
