VocalBooth selected for home recording studio of Esquire Magazines 2010 Ultimate Bachelor Pad. Now the man who supposedly has everything—does.
This VocalBooth, as you can imagine, is as luxurious as one gets. Our 5 Carat Diamond Gold Series VocalBooth
was custom designed by Denise Kuriger, a leading New York interior designer. The VocalBooth exterior walls were padded and upholstered with a midnight blue German imported cashmere wool that was custom embroidered. Ebony solid wood framed the glass door and was used for the interior floor. Stainless was used for exterior trim accents and interior modern lighting. This booth was so soft and plush you’d want to spend the rest of your life pressed against it.
Each year since 2003, Esquire has taken over a stunning living space–four penthouses in Manhattan, three mansions in Los Angeles–and transformed it into a spectacular masculine space that the press has dubbed “The Ultimate Bachelor Pad.”
Each room is designed by a different leading interior designer and decked out with all the latest and greatest décor, gizmos and gadgets giving even the most jaded of men a new personal “happy” place. The latest “must have” is a home recording studio and VocalBooth was selected as the sound room of choice.
The eighth iteration of the Esquire Signature Space will be back in Los Angeles in a magnificent residence that rests on one of L.A.’s most breathtaking properties. Designed by award-winning architect Trevor Abrahmson and Doug Teiger, this contemporary home truly embodies the indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
For the 2010 bachelor pad showcase, Esquire has created a fully functional, best of class home music recording and broadcast studio. The studio showcases equipment from leading manufacturers including Avid, Apple, Argosy, Blue Microphones, Euphonix, Grace Design, Monster, and Tannoy; and “house instruments” from Gibson, Moog and VocalBooth.
Features of the property include:
- 10,000 square foot house
- 14 rooms, 6.5 baths
- Floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning LA city views
- Separate 1,500-square-foot, two-story pool house where the recording studio occupies
- Infinity pool and pool deck overlooking Hollywood
The house is located in the stylish and sophisticated Hollywood Hills, in the celebrity-studded “bird streets” area off Doheny Drive—one of California’s hottest and most exclusive real estate markets.
Why They Rock
Utilizing this amazing signature space, Esquire partners with leading charity organizations for a season of red-carpet events, hosted by A-list celebrity ambassadors and musical performers. The program has raised $7.5 million to date for charities such as Save the Children,
CARE, City of Hope, Oceana, Oxfam, VH1 Save the Music, and Rock the Vote.
At each red-carpet charity event, Esquire brings in a line-up of up-and-coming musical acts, who perform in the studio to an enthusiastic live audience of the tastemakers, influencers, and philanthropists.
High-profile musicians also use the studio for private record release parties, PR events, recording sessions, and television interviews. In 2009, these included:
- Snoop Dogg (press event for release of “Malice ‘n Wonderland”)
- will.i.am (launch event for MASSIVE GOOD charity)
- Ian McCulloch of Echo and the Bunnymen (record release party)
- Kevin Bacon/The Bacon Brothers (TV interview/recording session)
