Make A Wish Foundation

On a clear fall day, a boy saw his dream come true.

Eddie is a 15 year old boy that has dreamed of being a rap star since the fourth grade. A dream that was in question of ever coming true when he was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease, a cancer of the lymphatic system, at the start of his freshman year. Everything else went on hold that day except hope and prayers.

After nine painful months of grueling chemotherapy and radiation, his cancer is in remission. A battle hard fought by a courageous boy. Now it's time to look towards the future. Time to dust off the dream and make a wish.

We were contacted by the Make a Wish foundation for a price quote on a sound room for Eddie to make a studio in his basement. It was his greatest wish and a first for the Boston Make a Wish chapter.

We went them one better. We heard the story and reached into our hearts to fully donate a 4' x 6' sound room package complete with windows. The whole crew was in on the project from the start and made the components with special attention and energy. It was truly a labor of love.
Eddie is now the proud owner of his own recording studio. Make a Wish supplied the other components including a mixing board, and recording equipment.

Boston Celtics forward Walter McCarty was a surprise visitor to the party. McCarty is recording an R&B album and stayed to help Eddie record and mix his first song. Way to go Eddie!

We are all proud to have been a part of granting this wish. After what these kids overcome, just to survive, they all deserve to be stars. We also encourage everyone who reads this to become an active part in making dreams come true. A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark. Make your mark count.
